| Cindy Carman from Medford caught this beauty on the first day of the Derby, 39.1 pounds, and had to live in suspense for the remaining 2 days.!
She is our first female angler to take home the Grand Prize and in true teamwork gave the gold winners ring to her significant other.. The Skipper of the boat..

2006 Derby Winners

Ken Tanksley of Medford caught this 44.1 pound beauty on the last day of the Derby. Ken is still talking about that fish and showing others this gorgeous gold ring that he took home along with $5,000 in cash!
Ken will be back again this year trying to be the first Derby participant to win the Grand Prize two years in a row. Actually no one has ever won it twice (yet). |

2004 Derby Winners

| John "hummer" Parke, a local resident of Brookings, was the 2004 Grand Prize winner. Hummer, fishing with his son, caught the 35 pound Chinook Salmon that won him $5000! |

| John Bishop was in first place for much of the 2004 derby before being pushed back to third place. John was still happy to receive a $1000 check for his 31.6 pound Chinook. On the first day John broke his partner's fish net but, was lucky to win a new net in one of the many drawings. |
