2006 Derby Winners
Ken Tanksley of Medford caught this 44.1 pound beauty on the last day of the Derby. Ken is still talking about that fish and showing others this gorgeous gold ring that he took home along with $5,000 in cash! Ken will be back again this year trying to be the first Derby participant to win the Grand Prize two years in a row. Actually no one has ever won it twice (yet).
Second Place $2,500 Tom Hansen, Brookings with a 41.4 lb fish.
Third Place $1,000 James Reese, Brookings with a 37.2 lb fish.	3 day Total Weight $1,000 Mason Matthews, Madras 119.1 lb (5 fish)

2005 Derby Winners

Dan Ambrose of Brookings Oregon was the 2005 Grand Prize winner with his 42.2 pound fish that won him $5000! Congratulations Dan!

Rex Peterson, also of Brookings took the $2500 Second place prize with his 37.2 pound fish.

Herman Hunt of Brookings caught his 35.1 pound fish, winning him the $1000 Third place prize.

There were 229 entrants who caught fish. The total weight of fish caught during the derby was over 7971 pounds. That's a lot of fish!!!

2004 Derby Winners
John "hummer" Parke, a local resident of Brookings, was the 2004 Grand Prize winner. Hummer, fishing with his son, caught the 35 pound Chinook Salmon that won him $5000!
	Second Place Winner, Kurt Waldmawn, caught his 33 pound fish to win $2500. Pictured here is the "Team Driftwood". Kurt came from Eagle Point to fish in the Slam'n Salmon Derby
John Bishop was in first place for much of the 2004 derby before being pushed back to third place. John was still happy to receive a $1000 check for his 31.6 pound Chinook. On the first day John broke his partner's fish net but, was lucky to win a new net in one of the many drawings.
